The Ministry for Environment and Landscape (Administration for Natural Protection) contributed 22.969,04 € (EUR) for the installation and maintenance of the buoy's control monitoring system. This work was carried out by the firm "IKI, d.o.o.". A video camera is installed on the Punta of Piran to monitor the oceanographic buoy and transmit the images by telephone line to the Marine Biology Station of the National Institute of Biology.
We hope that this Oceanographic station and it's output will have a long and uninterrupted life. We also hope that professional bodies and the wider public will make use of the data and services we have provided and welcome all users to our web site.
